Building a movement filled with energy, moral imperative, and integrity has begun in our country and Elizabeth Warren is out in front of this movement.

I think she is a leader with the qualification and strength necessary for of presidency. Warren leads this new movement of progressive women and men who are challenging the old guard in Congress.

Democratic women recently elected to the House and Senate are a new breed. Warren in the White House would support these progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 14th District, Bronx, New York; Sylvia Garcia, 29th District, Texas; and Abby Finkenauer, 1st District, Iowa, to name just a few.

Warren is the gritty moral and spiritual leader of this movement. She spearheaded the serious work of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, to the dismay of Wall Street. She was a thorn in the side of corrupt business practices and, as the Republicans in Washington learned, she is to be feared.

For example, when the opioid crisis hit, Warren addressed the issue in Congress by pointing directly to its source saying, โ€œWhen drug manufacturers break the law, their executives should be held personally accountable.โ€

Warren does not mess around. Now, we have been very lucky to have her in Massachusetts for these last few years. Yet, we need a strong morally-centered leader in Washington more than we need her here in Massachusetts.

The New Hampshire primary is just over the next hill in February of 2020. Before you know it, the rhetoric will start to heat up about the first primary in the country. Warren and AOC took to Twitter in โ€œUnited for Respectโ€ to highlight Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchinโ€™s role in destroying Sears and the thousands of American jobs along with it.

We need to support them. Elizabeth Warren is at the head of this movement; hopefully, she will sit in the Oval Office if we all work together. It is too important this time to just hope it works in our favor. Lucky for me, Elizabeth has decided to open a campaign office in Northampton.
