In "Tuned In," Ken Maiuri's weekly music column, I saw that tenor sax great Houston Person would be playing with the Green Street Trio (Paul Arslanian, George Kaye, Jonathan Fisher) during a special installment of the weekly Northampton Jazz Workshop at City Sports Grille in Northampton. Guessing that there might be a picture there, I rushed to finish my office work so I could make it in time to catch the end of the second set. Luckily, I got in a couple of songs before the evening closed. I tried a few different shots, but this close-up of the 84-year-old jazzman's fingers dancing on the keys of his vintage Selmer is my favorite.
