I love science. I love what science teaches me about the structures of reality down to the subatomic levels and out into the furthest reaches of the cosmos. But I have the temperament of the artist (without the talent) and if you are really going to convince me of anything, you must appeal to another important human faculty.
Tulsi Gabbard, representative from the state of Hawaii and long-shot presidential candidate, speaks to my heart.
Tulsi Gabbard’s truth and integrity shines forth upon her face. Her eyes are alive, calm, full of clarity and fully of sympathy for the struggles encountered in human existence.
Tulsi Gabbard stands alone, speaks simply and cuts to the chase of the Julian Assange travesty. To persecute and torture Assange, to extradite him to the U.S. where he is sure to face years of severe punishment, is a grave assault upon the vital role journalism plays in shining a light upon the deceptions and corruptions of politicians and in providing the citizens of a “would-be” democratic society with the information essential to make informed decisions.
Governments do not want citizens to know what they are doing. Politicians lie in order to gain wealth, prestige and power. Governments perpetrate crimes against humanity. Governments violate the inalienable rights of citizens in pursuit of corporate dollars.
The U.S. government intends to persecute Assange because he dared to expose the horrific crimes, the “collateral murder,” the “banality of evil” in the invasion of Iraq, and, by extension, the essential lie of all wars.
Tulsi Gabbard stands alone, unequivocally, against U.S. military interference in the affairs of other countries. She advocates dialogue, especially among those with whom the most dangerous confrontations prevail.
Tulsi Gabbard believes in universal health care as a basic human right.
Tulsi Gabbard identifies herself as a Hindu. God is present in all religions. In the spiritual realm all humanity is one family. We lead a spiritual life by acknowledging our interdependence and by protecting the rights of Mother Earth.
Tulsi Gabbard, the long-shot presidential candidate, is a beautiful human being. She is young and courageous and wise. She speaks to my heart. Aloha!
