Recently I went to 10 Rocky Hill Road in Hadley which used to be called Rocky Hill Farm. It was a farm stand and ice cream shop in the ‘80s and was closed down in 1991. We were there for a larger story on the new owners and were walking around looking at all the old stuff that filled the buildings and was getting cleared out. In the back part, which was originally going to be the seating area for the ice cream shop but is now slated to be the cafe, I saw this Sumac tree growing in between the old plastic and boards. The old tools hanging with the little bit of red drew me in. All things go back to weeds I thought, and how fun this place is going back to being a farm stand.Text and photo by Carol Lollis Credit: Recently I went to 10 Rocky Hill Road in Hadley which used to be called Rocky Hill Farm.
