AMHERST — Proposals for spending Community Preservation Act money in fiscal year 2021 are due Friday afternoon.
Residents, nonprofits, town departments and others seeking to access money for projects related to historic preservation, open space, affordable housing and recreation have to get their ideas in by 4:30 p.m.
Earlier this year, the town’s CPA Committee brought forward $2.16 million in proposals, which included money for the purchase of the Hickory Ridge Golf Course and supporting an affordable housing project by Valley Community Development Corp.
For more information or to propose a project, go to amherstma.gov/cpa.
The deadline is a week after resident applications were due for projects to be reviewed by the Joint Capital Planning Committee, and comes two weeks before the noon Dec. 23 deadline for agencies and others interested in being funded for social service and non-social service projects through an $850,000 Community Development Block Grant.
