In September of 2015, Maura Glennon opened the Florence Pie Bar. It was different and novel, and I am not going to lie: It got a lot of Gazette coverage. Some would argue maybe a little too much. This reminds me of how a sports editor told me years ago that the photo staff was not allowed to take any more shots at second base when shooting baseball โ it was almost to easy, so he made us stop. But recently, the Pie Bar beckoned. On my way home last week, I spotted all these boxes in the window as the Pie Bar crew got ready to close for the night. Glennon and her staff got close to 1,000 orders over Thanksgiving, and these boxes were waiting to be filled. I couldn’t help myself. I had to stop and get a picture. Just as a good second-base photo needs a home sometimes, this one did, too.
