The South Hadley indoor track & field team scored 35 points to place first among 23 teams at the MSTCA James Kalperis Division 5 Relays, Saturday in Boston.

The Tigers placed first in the 4×400-meter relay in 4 minutes, 13.78 seconds. Their 1,600 sprint medley team finished second (4:20.33) to Bromfield (4:12.63).

The long jump team of Farrell Dawson, Maddie Doolittle and Molly Schlosstein won in 44 feet, 11 inches.

Dawson was second (15-10¼), Doolittle finished fifth (15-½) and Schlosstein was 15th (14-½).

South Hadley’s high jump team tied for second at 13-9¾. Lindsay Marjanski was first (4-11¾), Ella Francis tied for seventh (4-7¾) and Rylee Suchenicz tied for 17th (4-2).

South Hadley added an eighth place with its 4×200 relay team.

At the Division 4 relays on Friday, the Northampton boys placed seventh, while the girls team was eighth.

Amherst finished 13th in the girls meet, while the boys were 20th.

The Blue Devils’ 4×800 of Mary Yount, Nava Chevan, Naomi Andrew, and Maggie Reade won in 10:06.2. Hamp was third in the distance medley (13:21.61).

The Hamp boys 4×800 of Ben Howe, Tobias L’Esperance, Tim Jacques and Simon LaClair set a meet record in 8:02.17. Northampton set the previous mark of 8:10.31 in 2015.

The distance medley team won in 11:03.41. Northampton’s 1600 sprint medley was fifth (3:51.3).

Amherst’s girls 1,600 sprint medley placed third (4:30.24).

The Hurricanes’ boys distance medley was fourth, the 4×800 was fifth and the 4×200 was sixth.
