The Williston Northampton swimming & diving program stood tall at the NEPSAC Division 2 championships on Saturday.
The boys team scored 428 points to win the championship at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, Vermont.
The girls team scored 289 points and finished runner-up to Miss Porter’s (511).
The boys squad won six events and broke three meet records.
The Wildcats opened the boys championship with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. Jason Albanese, Sam Haddad, Jack Haddad and Shogo Kamei finished in 1 minutes, 37.85 seconds to break the meet record.
Sam Haddad set a meet record in winning the 200 individual medley in 1:52.35. He also won the 100 butterfly in 51.36.
The 200 free relay team of Henry Wiemeyer, Jack Haddad, Rayyan Al Romaih and Kamei won in a meet-record 1:29.67.
Kamei took home the 100 breakstroke in 59.73.
Connor Cavanagh won the 1-meter diving event on Wednesday.
In the girls meet, the Wildcats had three individual wins. They also placed second in three events, including two relays.
Ava Larkin won both sprinting events. She was first in the 50 free in 24.84 seconds and was first in the 100 free in 53.92.
Molly Kinstle was first in the 100 butterfly (58.42) and second (1:57.86) in the 200 free.
The 200 medley relay team of Ella Mattocks, Larkin, Kinstle and Sabrina Serricchio finished second in 1:52.60.
The 200 free relay of Kinstle, Julia Borden, Serricchio and Larkin was second in 1:42.31.
Noble & Greenough 1, Williston 0 — The fifth-seeded Wildcats saw their season come to a close with a semifinal loss, Saturday at the top seed.
