Though COVID-19 is not hurting kids the way it is hurting older adults, so many children are losing their education.
There are some bright spots in education. My son attends Lander Grinspoon Academy and is in the first grade. He has around three hours of work per day. Each day he receives an email from his teacher with a list of all the work. He also has a private lesson each week with his classroom teacher, reading specialist and two private Hebrew lessons. Each day he has educational work in reading, writing, math, history, art, and many other optional assignments. Also each day there is a meeting with his entire class and his teachers.
During this time my son is not falling behind. He is growing and will be ready for second grade in the fall. Lander Grinspoon Academy is ensuring my child continues to learn and continues to have normalcy in this abnormal time.
