HOLYOKE — A driver was transported to the hospital with possibly serious injuries Tuesday after their car rolled over on I-91 North.
The Massachusetts State Police reported a roll-over crash with a trapped occupant on I-91 North after exit 17B at around 3 p.m., according to Holyoke Fire Capt. Kevin Cavagnac.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, Cavagnac said they found a car on its roof with its driver trapped inside. The driver was injured but alert.
Emergency crews used hydraulic tools to free the driver, who was immediately transported to the hospital by paramedics with “possibly serious injuries,” Cavagnac said.
Only one car was involved in the crash which remains under investigation.
