The battle at No. 1 lived up to its billing at the Country Club of Greenfield on Monday.

Greenfield ace Ryan Cote edged Frontier Regional senior Mikey Corduff for medalist honors by one stroke, but Corduff’s Red Hawks took the team victory as Frontier picked up a 17½-6½ victory over the Green Wave.

Cote shot 38 for the second consecutive match to pace Greenfield, winning 2½ points in his tilt against Corduff, who carded a 3-over 39 and scored 1½ points.

The Red Hawks (2-0) showcased their depth in scoring the team victory. Brady Burch registered 3½ point out of the No. 4 spot thanks to a round of 42, while Gunnar Moore (No. 2), Kyle Maynard (No. 3) and Rowan Blair (No. 5) each shot 43 and combined to score 10 out of a possible 12 points.

Westfield 155, Northampton 160 — Galen Fowles and Evan Yurko each shot 3-over 38 but the Blue Devils (3-1) fell at Northampton Country Club. Camille Richmond and Jack Mattison-Gulotta each had a 42 for Hamp.

David Tirrell shot 1-over 36 for medalist honors.

Franklin Tech 176, Hopkins 182 — Christian Cioklos and Tyler St. Hilaire each shot a 43, while Conner Asselin (47) and Benson Li (49) rounded out the scoring for the Golden Hawks at Holyoke Country Club.

Hampshire 181, Holyoke 188 — Levi Zielinski carded a 1-over 35 to pace the Raiders at Wyckoff Country Club in Holyoke.

Owen Leach added a 47, while Pryden Messier had a 49 out of the No. 7 spot for Hampshire. Tim Florek rounded out the scoring with a 50.

Ryan Maloney led Holyoke with a 44, while Niko Consedine added a 46. Jacob Tassinari had a 48 and Tanner Barkyoumb a 50.

Ware 155, South Hadley 198 — Keegan Earle shot a 42 and Sean Whalen added a 49, but the Tigers (0-4) fell at Cold Spring Country Club in Belchertown.
