■Tappan & Whitney will pay cash for hides and calf skins delivered at their store. They have constantly for sale on consignment sole, harness, bridle and upper leather, and calf skins, men’s and women’s leather shoes, over socks, patent wheel heads, wholesale and retail.

■The undersigned, members of Hopkins Academy, have with regret learned the intention of removing our esteemed preceptor, the Rev. D. Huntington, from a station which he has so long filled, and while under his instruction, in every respect to our satisfaction. ■One of the most sweeping Republican victories in party history has stood recorded for Senator Warren G. Harding for President, Calvin Coolidge for Vice-President and a Republican Congress. A parade in celebration of Governor Coolidge’s election will be held in Northampton tonight.

■Anna Pavlova, with over thirty of her Russian ballet troupe, who appear at John M. Greene Hall tonight, arrived in town yesterday afternoon and took apartments at the Draper hotel.

■The Hampshire County Board of Insurance Agents recently installed new officers for the 1970-71 term. Elected president was Gordon A. Woodward Jr. of the Woodward Insurance Agency of Hatfield and Northampton. Elected vice president was Steve W. Brode of the Blair Cutting and Smith Agency in Amherst.

■The Hampshire County Extension Service will present the program “Money Stretching Ideas for Your Food Dollar,” Nov. 19. Taught by Mrs. Patricia Sacks, Extension home economist, the focus will be on money-saving ideas in planning meals, and in food shopping.
