HOLYOKE — A kitchen fire in a four-unit apartment building on Dwight Street early Saturday night left one person displaced, according to the Holyoke Fire Department.

Firefighters received a 911 call at 5 p.m. from a woman reporting a fire in her kitchen at 1335 Dwight St. Firefighters who arrived at the scene found fire coming from a kitchen window and quickly extinguished the blaze, according to the Fire Department.

The woman is temporarily displaced, and will be helped by the apartment building’s owner, according to the Fire Department. The building’s occupants were evacuated safely and no injuries were reported, Holyoke Fire Capt. Kevin Cavagnac said in a statement Saturday night.

The fire’s cause is under investigation by the Holyoke Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
