CUMMINGTON — Annual Town Meeting has been postponed until June 4, thanks to the success Friday of a motion to adjourn.

Nineteen voters attended Friday’s Town Meeting, four more than the 15 required for a quorum.

The motion to adjourn to a date certain was requested because the budgeting process has not yet been completed.

Select Board Member Monica Vandoloski said the board has not yet had a chance to meet with the Finance Committee to discuss the budget to be voted on at Annual Town Meeting. She said the two panels will be meeting May 27 to have this discussion.

Annual Town Meeting will now take place at Pettingill Memorial Field at the pavilion on June 4 at 7 p.m.

“Everyone loved it there last year,” Vandoloski said.

The 17-item Town Meeting warrant currently contains no budget numbers. It also has no proposed bylaw changes.
