Northampton’s Meadow Street Bridge to be closed

NORTHAMPTON — The Meadow Street Bridge is set to be closed for repairs for two days, while access to Meadow Street near the closure will be restricted.

The Florence bridge, which spans the Mill River, is set to close Monday at 7 a.m., with a planned reopening time of Tuesday at 3 p.m., according to a post on the city’s Facebook page.

While there will be no vehicular, bicycle or pedestrian access across the bridge during the closure period, both residential and emergency traffic will be permitted on either side of the bridge closure: Meadow Street between Corticelli and Park Street and Meadow Street between the river and Spring Street.

Detours will also be in place via Park Street, Pine Street and Spring Street, and a detour map can be found on the city’s website.
