BELCHERTOWN — Tractor Supply has completed a remodel of its entire store at the Belchertown location at 30 Turkey Hill Road.
The store is now home to a new, extensive Garden Center loaded with plants, lawn and garden essentials for everyone from first-time gardeners to experienced vegetable growers.
The enhanced store features an improved layout for convenient and accessible shopping as well as a new Customer Service Hub with upgraded digital tools to help customers find what they need. Additionally, customers can now shop from an expanded assortment of apparel, tools, hardware, pet food, animal feed and more.
Additional improvements to the Belchertown location include a new Tractor Supply Pet Wash for owners and their friendly, four-legged family members. Customers can now pamper their pets with a bath in a washing station loaded with professional-grade equipment and high-quality products.
The store now offers comprehensive veterinary care through the PetVet Wellness Center located in the store. Staffed with licensed veterinarians, Tractor Supply’s PetVet Wellness Center offers preventive veterinary care for dogs and cats, including vaccines, testing, microchips and more, with no appointment needed.
The Belchertown Tractor Supply store is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
HOLYOKE — Holyoke VNA and Hospice Life Care, a member of Valley Health Systems and affiliate to Holyoke Medical Center, has announced the appointment of April Bartley as its executive director.
Bartley will lead the Holyoke VNA Hospice Life Care, which has been serving the community since 1905. The organization offers a full range of home health care services which promote independence and quality of life. The professional team at Holyoke VNA Hospice Life Care works with patients and their physicians to develop a plan of care, which allows patients to remain safely at home. The team includes registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, home health aides, dieticians, interpreters, a chaplain, and volunteers.
In her most recent role as director of nursing at Sullivan County Health Care, Bartley oversaw the clinical and regulatory aspects of nursing in a skilled nursing facility with 156 dually certified beds. Her leadership resulted in an increase of average daily facility census and staffing by hiring and interviewing to build staffing capacity.
Bartley received her associate degree in nursing from New Hampshire Community Technical College, her bachelor of science in health care administration and bachelor of science in nursing from Granite State College, and her master of science in nursing from River University. She lives in Weathersfield, Vermont.
NORTHAMPTON — Creating workplaces supportive of people in recovery is the focus of a free, three-part series presented by Hampshire HOPE and the Northampton Health Department in cooperation with the Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce starting May 25.
Hampshire HOPE’s Recovery Supportive Workplace Initiative provides training and consultation to businesses to assist in the hiring, retention and support of people in recovery and people returning to the community from incarceration. It was developed in response to community concerns about substance use in the workplace.
The series of interactive, virtual one-hour sessions on recovery supportive workplaces is geared to employers and employees in any type of workplace. Participants are welcome to attend any combination of the sessions offered on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. on the following dates covering the following topics:
■May 25: Key Features of Recovery Supportive Workplaces.
■June 8: Building the Culture: First Steps to Building Recovery Supportive Workplaces.
■June 22: How to Talk With Employees About Your Concerns About Their Substance Use.
