There is a fifth question of the ballots of voters in the 1st Hampshire, 1st Franklin, and 5th Worcester districts asking if we support a proposed fee on the carbon content of fossil fuels.  Setting a price would reduce carbon pollution significantly, leading to cleaner air and a reduction in the number of premature deaths currently caused by air pollution.  I recently heard someone say that “breathing is the new smoking.” A carbon fee is economy friendly because it is cost efficient and preferred by businesses.  And, money collected will be returned to everyone as a carbon cash back payment. I plan to vote “yes” to this question and hope that you will, too.
