It was a clean sweep for the Northampton Suburban League girls basketball teams on Sunday, as both the 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade teams picked up victories over Longmeadow.
In grades 5 and 6 action, Kiera Cole scored 17 points to go with five blocks and three assists as Northampton defeated Longmeadow, 43-32.
Quinn Spears scored nine points in the win, while Ella Sasser (7 points), Naomi Durbin (4 points, 5 steals) and Zora Nteta (6 points, 12 rebounds) all keyed the ’Hamp charge.
In grades 7 and 8 action, Emme Calkins scored 10 points and grabbed two boards to help guide Northampton to a 30-29 win over Longmeadow.
The club also received big games from Liv Joensen (9 points, 13 rebounds, 7 steals), Anna Oravec (7 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals, 4 blocks) and Livi Busone (4 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals).
