The Valley Blue Sox clinched a playoff berth with a 12-6 road win over the Danbury Westerners on Thursday in Connecticut.

Christopher Willis drove in three runs on two hits for the Blue Sox. Matthew Bergevin homered among his two hits and had two RBIs, whileย EJ Kreutzmann also left the park once. Elliot Dix doubled for Valley, whileย Cian Sahler struck out five in three innings of scoreless relief.

The West Division-leading Blue Sox (22-17-2) will host the Bristol Blues (18-18) at 6:35 p.m. Friday at MacKenzie Stadium.
