Florence Bank promotes 8 officers

FLORENCE — Florence Bank announces the promotion of eight team members.

Sarah Darling of Greenfield was promoted to senior vice president; Tim Deshaies of Holyoke, Elissa Langevin of Wilbraham, Dave Limero of Whately and Erin Prickett of Springfield were named first vice president; and Kim Downing of Wilbraham, Alissa Fuller of Ware and Andrew Tulis of Northampton were elevated to vice president.

Darling joined the bank’s team in 1985 and has 40 years of banking experience. As the bank’s treasurer, she will continue to oversee financial management of the bank and its financial reporting. She currently serves as board member and treasurer for the Lilly Library in Florence.

With 39 years of banking experience, Deshaies manages branch operations to support the bank’s strategic goals. He will continue to manage projects, software programs, vendors and branch risk. Deshaies has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from Western New England College.

Langevin joined the bank’s team in 2007 and has 40 years of banking experience. As area manager and retail development director, she will continue to oversee the bank’s branch managers, providing leadership, employee development and training. She serves as treasurer and board member of the Belchertown Day School.

Elissa Langevin

Limero joined the bank in 2015 and has 16 years of banking experience. Using his skills in project management, expense management, vendor contract negotiation and business process automation, he will continue to oversee all aspects of corporate project management, IT operations, deposit operations and business intelligence.

Prickett is a 15-year employee of Florence Bank and will continue to oversee and manage the bank’s compliance programs and digital banking initiatives, combining strategic thinking with extensive knowledge of banking regulations and a strong background in digital transformation. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Connecticut and is a graduate of the New England School for Financial Studies.

Erin Prickett

With 41 years of banking experience, Downing oversees the Chicopee Branch and will continue to provide superior professional service to internal and external customers. This includes supporting and training her team and handling mortgage and home equity accounts. She serves as a board member for the Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Holyoke and committee member for The Chicopee Boys and Girls Club.

Fuller joined the bank’s team in 2022 and has 25 years of banking experience. She will continue to oversee Florence Bank’s overall compliance program and ensures adherence to federal and state regulations as well as the CRA regulation, which requires the bank to meet the credit needs within the communities it serves, particularly in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods.

Tulis is a 14-year employee of Florence Bank and will continue to be responsible for ensuring compliance with laws and regulations by developing and adhering to policies and procedures that oversee the Bank Secrecy Act program, Anti-Money Laundering program and Office of Foreign Asset Control compliance.

Tapestry names Riley new chair of its board

SPRINGFIELD — Tapestry Health has appointed Brad Riley as chairperson of its board of directors. A seasoned public servant and a passionate advocate for equity and social justice, Riley brings over two decades of diverse experience across nonprofit and government sectors, spanning federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial levels.

Riley succeeds Jeremy Melton as chair. Melton served on Tapestry’s board of directors for over a decade in various leadership roles.

Riley’s leadership journey is deeply rooted in advancing public health, housing justice, and good governance. He serves as a city councilor at-large for Easthampton, where he represents 16,000 constituents and chaired the Appointments Committee, overseeing more than 200 citizen public administrators.

From 2022 to 2025, Riley served as a senior research associate at the National Academy of Public Administration in Washington, D.C., contributing to intergovernmental collaboration and strategic development in DEIB programming.

Riley holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Organizational Leadership from the University of Illinois, and a B.A. in Workplace Diversity and Equity from UMass Amherst.

Three bankers graduate from prestigious programs

Greenfield / Northampton Cooperative Bank announces that three employees have recently completed distinguished leadership studies. 

Jenicca Gallagher, vice president and branch manager at the King Street branch in Northampton, and Erica Josephson, senior credit analyst, both earned degrees from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Offered in partnership with the American Bankers Association and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, the Stonier program is designed to build leadership, strategy, and financial management skills for senior-level professionals in the banking industry.

Ethan McCandless, collections officer, graduated from the New England School for Financial Studies, a rigorous two-year program held at the Babson Conference Center that prepares rising bank leaders with 135 hours of in-depth instruction and practical simulations.

Gallagher joined the bank in 2010 and has been a steady presence in Amherst and Northampton, known by customers and colleagues alike for her leadership and commitment to service. Josephson became part of the GCB team in 2019 and plays an important role in the bank’s credit analysis department. McCandless, who joined the bank in 2020, brings hard work and diligence to his work in collections.

bankESP promotes two to VP, regional branch manager

EASTHAMPTON — bankESB recently announced the promotions of two longtime employees, Katherine Sordillo and Susanne deVillier, to vice president, regional branch manager.

In this newly created position, deVillier and Sordillo will provide leadership and support to regions of bankESB’s retail banking network, working closely with retail branch staff in several communities to deliver exceptional customer service, drive performance, and uphold the bank’s commitment to community banking. They will also play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives focused on growth, operational excellence, and employee development.

deVillier, of Agawam, has more than 30 years of banking experience and has played a vital role in bankESB’s growth and success, particularly in Agawam, where she’s led the retail banking team at the Main Street, Agawam office since it opened in 2011. She joined bankESB in 2010 as a branch officer and over the years has been promoted to several times. In her new role, she will oversee the bank’s Agawam, Amherst, Hadley, Northampton, Southampton, and Westfield branches.

Sordillo, of Chicopee, brings three decades of leadership experience in retail banking and customer relationship management to her new role. She joined bankESB in 2001 as branch officer of the Granby Road, South Hadley office and over her tenure has been promoted several times. She is a passionate community leader and has served as president of the South Hadley/Granby Chamber of Commerce and chairperson for Loomis Communities. In her new role, she will oversee the bank’s Belchertown, Holyoke, South Hadley, and two Easthampton branches, as well as the retail branch float team, while maintaining a presence in South Hadley.
