Norman G. Peloquin Jr.

Hadley, MA – Norman George Peloquin, Jr., 77 of Hadley, passed away
peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on December
29,1947 he was the son of Norman and Ruth (Harris) Peloquin. Norman
was a graduate of South Hadley High School. He served in the Navy
during the Vietnam War for two years as an electrician’s mate. He then
went on to the Air National Guard and achieved over 21 years of
honorable military service. He was married to the love of his life
Peggy (Chagnon) Peloquin for 55 years.

Norman started his career at the State DPW in Goshen and was promoted
to foreman of the Mass State DPW in Northampton where he worked for
over 37 years. He was an avid fisherman and Hunter. He loved fishing
at Hadley Pond, Lake Metacomet, Salmon fishing in NY and trout fishing
with his deceased father. He enjoyed watching the Patriots. Throughout
the years, spending time with family was most important to him,
especially his grandchildren. He attended their plays, music concerts
and sporting events. He was also a man of faith and was involved with
the Maple Ridge Church in Sunderland.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Peggy, his daughter, Michele
Nelson and husband, Mark of Phillipston MA, their children, Steve
Nelson, and Ashley Nelson. Also, his other daughter Stacy Lovett and
her husband Jeff of Pulaski, NY and their children Kevin Lovett and
Andrew Lovett. He leaves a brother Ron Peloquin and his wife Lisa of
Southampton, along with his sister Priscilla Peloquin of South Hadley.

Calling hours will be held at the Boucher–O’Brien Funeral Home, 7
Pleasant St., Easthampton on Monday, September 22 from 5 to 7 PM

Funeral Service will be held at the Maple Ridge Church, 659 Amherst
Rd. in Sunderland on Tuesday, September 23 beginning at 10 AM. His
committal with full military honors will follow at St Brigid’s
Cemetery in Easthampton.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
