Kalli White registered a hat trick for the Granby girls soccer team in its 5-0 win against Easthampton during its final home game of the regular season on Tuesday.
White’s three goals were supplemented by strikes from teammates Margo Healy and Bri-Anne Kraus, while Marcela Tapia tabbed two assists as Granby’s only other multi-point getter in the shutout.
The Rams led 2-0 at halftime, then poured in three more past Eagles goalie Noella Ryan (six saves) in the final 40 minutes.
Granby boosted its record to 9-3-2, while Easthampton fell to 7-5-2.
Amherst 8, Palmer 0 — The Hurricanes’ offense was firing on all cylinders in the no-doubter against the Panthers.
Six Amherst players had multiple points, including Bea Eggemeier, who led the victors with a goal and three assists.
Chelah Schwartz found the netting twice as the Hurricanes’ single multi-goal scorer.
Mercy Pope earned the shutout with four saves in between the pipes for Amherst, which has won three of four.
Boys soccer
Northampton 1, West Springfield 1 — The Blue Devils picked up their third tie of the season in the battle with the Bulldogs.
Armany Rodrigues scored for Northampton with an assist from Bishop Loughrey while Salem Gregory totaled three saves for the Blue Devils.
Both of the game’s goals were scored in the second half.
Smith Voc 1, Commerce 0 — Nolan Bloomrose scored the deciding goal for the Vikings as they ended their losing streak at two games following Tuesday’s victory.
Smith Voc’s Henry Sadler picked up the assist, as it moved to 9-3-1 on the season.
Frontier 2, Agawam 2 — Leading 2-1 at halftime, the Red Hawks couldn’t close out the contest against the Brownies, surrendering a late, game-tying goal to post their third consecutive tie.
Ian Paciorek potted both Frontier goals and goalie Jack Cusson obtained six saves.
The Red Hawks’ record reads 8-2-5 with one regular-season game remaining.
South Hadley 1, Mt. Greylock 0 — The Tigers clawed past the Mounties to secure a huge, late-season victory.
Hunter Keller contributed South Hadley’s goal while Noah Carillon made six saves as the Tigers upgraded their record to 4-5-5.
Gateway 1, PVCICS 0 — Andrew Chepurenko broke the deadlock with a second-half strike as the Gators grabbed a critical win.
Gateway extended its point streak to seven games in a row with the victory. PVCICS, which concluded its regular season on Tuesday, dropped its final 10 games to go 2-11 in 2025.
Dragons goalie Grace Rachele (four saves) finished with more saves than Gators keeper Zack Hess (two saves) in the low-scoring affair.
Field hockey
Hampshire 1, Mahar 0 — The Raiders snapped a two-game losing streak in its one-goal victory against the Senators
Lily Connor was the game’s lone goalscorer, off an assist from Neely Rondeau, as Hampshire improved its record to 6-8-1 with the win.
Mahar goalie Bella Burnett turned in a busy performance, making 16 saves in the loss.
Belchertown 1, Smith Academy 1 — Kian Roy (Orioles) and Sophia Jagodzinski (Falcons) scored in a showdown between two of the best teams in the Valley league.
Belchertown goalie Lila Roy and Smith’s Chloe Avery combined for 27 saves.
The Orioles took the first meeting, 1-0, on Sept. 18.
Volleyball
Smith Voc 3, Mohawk Trail 0 — The Vikings capped off their regular season in style with the shutout win against the Warriors.
Smith Voc received strong performances from Irelyn Marcoux (six aces, two assists, seven digs and two kills), Ainsley Chrzanowski (ace, two assists, two digs, kill) and Leah Franklin (two aces, block, three digs and seven kills).
The Vikings closed out their regular season with a sparkling 11-2 record.
Central 3, Belchertown 0 — Tuesday’s defeat for the Orioles was closer than the final score would signal as two of the three set scores were decided by four points or fewer.
Belchertown’s loss snapped its two-game winning streak as set scores of 21-25, 10-25 and 24-26 all went to the Eagles.
Kaiya Cavanaugh (26 digs, ace) and Olivia Skora (15 assists, eight digs, ace) led the Orioles in the loss.
Easthampton 3, Ware 2 — The Eagles overcame two separate set deficits to edge the Indians.
Ware took sets one and three, but Easthampton responded with wins in each set thereafter to head into the deciding set all square. The Eagles proceeded to take care of business with a convincing, fifth-set win to lock up their fifth win of the season.
Set scores were 19-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-13 and 15-7.
Brooke Skowron secured eight assists and four aces while Lily Foster had five assists and two kills as a couple of impact players for Easthampton.
Frontier 3, Baystate Academy 1 — After losing in set one, the Red Hawks ran the table in sets two through four to emphatically put an end to their losing streak.
Frontier had lost its previous three matches and after falling during the first set, 20-25, to Baystate, it was looking like its fourth loss in a row was ahead. However, the Red Hawks ripped off set wins by scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-16, to win its fifth match of the year.
Caitlin Mao’s 11 kills and Kaelyn Johnson’s 17 digs helped bring Frontier back to the win column.
Franklin Tech 3, Holyoke 0 — The Eagles got the better of the Purple Knights in the sweep.
Jenna Petrowicz (two aces, three kills, seven digs, block) Laura Fuess (three aces, dig, assist, block) and Madison Pettengill (ace, five kills, seven digs, block) topped Tech’s contributors in the victory.
Set scores came in at 25-23, 25-17 and 25-23 for the Eagles.
Minnechaug 3, Amherst 1 — The ‘Canes saw their season-long win streak come to a close following the loss to the Falcons. Amherst had won five in a row heading into the home match against Minnechaug.
Kiko Bhowmik (seven kills, four aces, 14 digs) and Rosalie Davis (five kills, four aces, 14 assists) stood out for the Hurricanes.
Cross country
Amherst 15, West Springfield 50
Amherst 20, Chicopee 43
Amherst 15, Chicopee Comp 50 (girls) — Strong races from Ella Austin, Nina Holden and Lilly Pope, in particular, for the Hurricanes helped them claim three victories in the quad-meet at Cherry Hill Golf Course.
Austin was the first Amherst finisher, crossing in 22 minutes, 37 seconds, then Holden and Pope each earned the exact same time of 22:48 as the Hurricanes’ top three girls finishers.
Amherst 20 West Springfield 41
Amherst 15 Chicopee 50
Amherst 16 Chicopee Comp 47 (boys) — The Hurricanes’ boys squad had an equally impressive outing, beating all three opponents with ease.
Four of the top five finishers were from Amherst. Calvin Miller won the boys race in 16:58, Nico Lisle took third place in 18:37, then Otis Fairey (18:37) and Peter Nedeau (18:40) came in next in the Hurricanes’ final meet at Cherry Hill this season.
MONDAY RESULTS
Boys soccer
SICS 1, Granby 0 — An own goal from the Rams dropped their record to 5-7-2 after the loss to the Bulldogs.
Daniel Santiago stopped four shots in goal for Granby.
Turners Falls 6, Smith Academy 2 — Two goals each from John Martin and Yolvin Ovalle-Meija helped the Thunder take down the Falcons.
Rojelio Mendez and Kainen Stevens also found the back of the net for Turners in the big win.
Smith secured goals from Matt Scagel and Sebastian Giraldo, which needs a strong finish to secure a spot in the MIAA state tournament after falling to 6-8 overall.
“We didn’t play our best game but Turners Falls is a very good team,” Falcons head coach Jason Duncan said. “We need to get positive results the rest of the week to keep our postseason hopes alive.”
Girls soccer
Smith Academy 3, Greenfield 1 — Anna Scagel’s hat trick powered the Falcons past the Green Wave. Emma Tisdell racked up three assists as well for Smith.
Tayler Bergeron netted Greenfield’s only goal.
Goalies Vivian Higuera (Smith, nine saves) and Lexi Berry (Greenfield, seven saves) were each peppered with shots in this one.
Volleyball
Dennis-Yarmouth 3, Frontier 2 — The Red Hawks squandered a two-set lead in the five-set defeat to the Dolphins.
Frontier won the first two sets, 25-8 and 25-16, but then fell in the next three by scores of 20-25, 23-25 and 12-15.
Chicopee 3, Easthampton 1 — The Eagles won the first set, 27-26, but came up short in the next three to drop their third in a row.
Camilla Corsello and Kaylin Dumas combined for 17 kills for Easthampton in the loss.
Greenfield 3, Granby 1 — The Green Wave grabbed their second straight win after besting the Rams.
Set scores finished at 25-19, 14-25, 25-14 and 25-15 in favor of Greenfield, which moved to 12-4.
WEEKEND RESULTS
Girls soccer
Nipmuc 2, South Hadley 0 — The Tigers were shut out for the second time in three games in the loss on Saturday.
Olivia Athas made seven saves in net for South Hadley.
Hampshire 1, Frontier 1 — Each team potted one goal, leading to Saturday’s draw at Dorunda Field.
Mara Allium put the Red Hawks in front, 1-0, during the first half, but the Raiders responded with a second-half strike from Claire Pickard.
Frontier’s Jazzy Hayes had 10 saves while Hampshire’s Karaghan Rogalski recorded seven stops.
Football
South Hadley 28, Taconic 14 — Noah Hambley reached the end zone three times for the Tigers as they snagged their first win in three games last Friday.
Hambley hurried in two scores for South Hadley and caught another as the junior sensation totaled 133 yards of offense.
Quarterback Griffin Soderbaum also put together a strong performance, tossing two TDs for the Tigers.
South Hadley led, 20-14, at halftime, then tacked on another score in the third quarter to take the road victory.
The Tigers (3-2) host Holyoke next on Friday at 6 p.m.
