Northampton Communityย Rowing attends the Head of theย Charles

Northampton Communityย Rowing (NCR) junior and masters teams earned spots via lottery to attend the worldโ€™s largest three-day regatta,ย the Head of the Charles (HOCR), in Cambridge, Oct. 18-19.

Throughout the fall, NCR coached teams trained intently, attending regattas throughout New England which prepared rowers for this fun,ย grueling event. The course was challenging, requiring a tactical plan and alternative plans as its coxswains and bow seats traversed the Charles River under six bridges with many twists and turns all the while navigating the varied weather conditions and competitive field of numerable boats in each race.ย

Northampton Community Rowing is a community rowing club welcoming youth and adults to join allย year long.
