I have noticed a pattern of sharp reporting on important local issues in your newspaper, and want to compliment you on that.
Thus, with the recent horrible fire in Amherst, the reporter quickly got to the important issue about the building’s construction with information from the Amherst fire chief: “Olympia Place opened at 57 Olympia Drive in fall 2016, used wood construction techniques, compliant with state building code, a method in which the main structure is wood and with attached wood sheathing panels containing doors and windows. This can make the building susceptible to fire in a way the far more expensive steel is not.”
As well, there has been much good local reporting on the local housing shortage, and the effect of zoning (and in my mind NIMBYism) on that.
This kind of thing requires a few very intelligent reporters, which, apparently, you have.
