Huntington, MA – Dolores (Trudeau) Peterhansel, born August 15, 1944, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away on November 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Her life was marked by compassion, quiet strength, and a deep devotion to those she held close.
Dolores is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Laura Perrier, and son-in-law, Michael Perrier of Huntington, MA; her son, Carl Peterhansel, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Peterhansel of Unionville, CT; and her son, Mark Peterhansel of Mansfield, MA. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Seth Ezyk, Heather Morton, Tyler Peterhansel, and Cara Peterhansel; her great-grandchildren, Kayla Ezyk, Lola, Finley, Georgie, and Theodore Morton; and her great-great-granddaughter, Paisley Ezyk. Each of them carries forward her spirit, her softness, and the memory of her steady, unconditional love.
She joins in peace her parents, Ernestine and Joseph Trudeau; her four brothers and four sisters, whom she missed deeply; her former husband, Carl Peterhansel; and her longtime partner, John Halligan.
Dolores worked for many years at the Woolworth Department Store in Northampton, where she was known for her kindness and easy smile. She raised her family in Florence, MA, spent over ten meaningful years in Edgewater, FL, and eventually made her home in Huntington, MA, where she spent the last 23 years surrounded by family.
She found joy in simple, tender things-tending to her flowers, the fun and chatter of bingo nights, and the comfort of being near those she loved. Even as her health challenges grew, her warmth, gentle humor, and quiet resilience remained at the heart of who she was.
Dolores will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Her family will honor her life privately, holding her close in their hearts always. GRAHAM HILLTOWN COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 27 Russell Road in Huntington, has honorably been entrusted with Dolores’ care and services.
