Do you remember when Donald Trump called the men and women who serve in our military “suckers and losers?” I do. I come from a long line of suckers and losers, including one relative who survived the Bataan Death March and spent the balance of World War II in a Japanese prison camp.

A brother-in-law was a Marine Raider in the South Pacific. I’ve been told the Raiders were the first ashore in an invasion. My brother, an Army veteran, was in three invasions: North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. For all these relatives, when their country called them, they served.

I am 97 years old, and I vote in every election. My vote is precious to me. It has never gone, nor will it go, to Donald Trump.
