Northampton, MA – After a period of failing health Jane resided at Care One of Northampton and died at Cooley Dickinson Hospital Monday December 29,2025.
Jane was born in September 12, 1948 to the late Edward Procon Sr. and Sophie (Maiewski) Procon.
Jane was a lifelong resident of Northampton Massachusetts.
Jane graduated from Northampton High School in 1966.
Jane worked at the Daily Hampshire Gazette as a computer operator for well over 30 years.
Jane is survived by her brother Edward Procon Jr. (Susanna Walz) of Florence, Massachusetts. Jane is survived by several cousins and close friends Helen Meyers, Bill Myers and Marilyn Brown.
In her retirement Jane took care of her mother at home.
Jane enjoyed gardening, animals and wildlife, reading, and traveling with her friends to the Caribbean and Florida and taking lots of photographs.
Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton will be in charge of arrangements. There will be a calling hour on January 7 from 9am-10am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
