Holyoke, MA – Anthony Francis Piaggi passed away in December 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his parents, Frances Ernest and Marcella Blouin Piaggi, and his stepmother, Dorothy Rosasco Schneider Piaggi.
A graduate of Drury High School in North Adams, Massachusetts, he went on to earn degrees from Westfield State and Smith Colleges. He was the full-time director of music first at Annunciation Church in Florence, and later at St. Mary's Church in Westfield where he also taught K-12 music in the parish schools. He spent the last 20 years of his career teaching classroom music and directing the chorus at White Brook Middle School in Easthampton.
He is survived by his stepsisters, Maxyne Schneider, SSJ of Holyoke, Jean Schneider, SSJ, and Joan Schneider, SSJ of Brighton as well as by several cousins.
