HADLEY — An Amherst teen was arrested by Hadley Police after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a Route 9 parking lot, leading police in a pursuit that ended in Holyoke Sunday night, according to police.

Sintrah Kov, 18, was arrested on charges of larceny of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger and various traffic violations, police said.

The incident began shortly after 5 p.m. when police took a 911 call about a vehicle stolen from the parking area at McDonald’s, 374 Russell St., police said.

Hadley Police located the vehicle near the intersection of Route 9 and Bay Road, near the Coolidge Bridge, but the driver fled. The vehicle was pursued and eventually stopped by Holyoke Police, which blocked it on South Street in their city.

Hadley Police thanked both Holyoke Police and Massachusetts State Police for their assistance.
