Northampton, MA – Jim passed away on May 9th, 2026 at Daybrook Village in Holyoke. He was born on December 28, 1947.
He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Catherine (Mullins) Shea, his brother Jackie Shea, and his sisters Judy Shea and Kathleen Paquette.
Jim graduated from St. Michael’s High School. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. He also served in the U.S. Army in Germany and Vietnam.
Jim was a good basketball player and golfer. He was a member of the Northampton Country Club for many years. He was a big fan of the Boston Celtics, New England Patriots, and Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his sisters Ginny Daniels, Edna Schumikowski, Rosemary Church, Joanne Carrico, Patricia LaCross, and several nieces and nephews.
A Calling Hour will be on Wednesday May 27 from 9:30-10:30am at the Czelusniak Funeral Home -173 North Street Northampton MA. A Funeral Mass to follow at 11am at the Annunciation Chapel on Beacon Street in Florence MA. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Bridge Road in Northampton.
