Southampton, MA – Beverly A. Tefts, age 89, passed away peacefully July 5, 2026 in Westfield, MA.
She was born in Northampton on March 15, 1937, the daughter of the late Joseph and Myra Bimbane. She graduated from Northampton High School in 1954. After high school, she married the love of her life, Richard, in 1956. She traveled with him as he was stationed in Texas with the Army. She also worked for D.A. Sullivan in Northampton. After having children, she was an active volunteer in the Southampton elementary schools her daughters attended.
Her husband, Richard, died in 2018. She is survived by her daughter Marie Tefts and her partner Jeffrey Bloniasz of Ludlow, and her daughter Rosann Ryczek and her husband Michael of Agawam and their two sons, Fred and Oscar.
She was a lover of nature, had many perennial gardens, and enjoyed tinkering in the yard.
Many thanks go to all of the staff at Armbrook Village in Westfield for the outstanding, loving care she received there, as well as the compassionate care provided by Baystate Hospice.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 10 from 9 – 10:00 a.m. at the Czelusniak Funeral Home, 173 North Street, Northampton, MA followed by a service at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery in Northampton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s name can be made to the Dakin Humane Society, www.dakinhumane.org.
