SPRINGFIELD — A 25-year-old man from Holyoke pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography, also known as child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in federal court in Springfield, following a federal investigation.
A registered sex offender from Holyoke, Justin Ouimette pleaded guilty earlier this month after he was identified as the owner of a Dropbox account that contained hundreds of CSAM files. A search of Ouimette’s home revealed he was in possession of more files, some depicting children as young as toddlers, according to the FBI.
Ouimette was charged in May 2025 and has remained in custody since that time. He was previously convicted of CSAM possession in 2022 and was on state probation at the time of his most recent offense.
Due to Ouimette’s prior conviction, the charge of possession of child pornography provides for a sentence of more than 10 years and less than 20 years in prison, up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.
U.S. District Court Judge Mark Mastroianni scheduled Ouimette’s sentencing for Nov. 17.
This case was brought forth as part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse, launched in May, 2006.
