Florence Bank adds two to staff

FLORENCE — Florence Bank has hired a director of credit and commercial operations and a commercial loan officer.

LIZ BEAUDRY

Liz Beaudry, of Holyoke, has joined the bank as vice president / director of credit and commercial operations, while Wayne Webster, of Hartford, Connecticut, has been named vice president / commercial loan officer.

Beaudry has 26 years of banking experience, and prior to joining Florence Bank, she held the positions of senior vice president chief credit officer, vice president senior credit officer, and portfolio manager. She is skilled in leadership, team collaboration, adaptability and problem-solving.

In her new role, Beaudry will manage the Commercial Credit Department and oversee the Commercial Loan Administration Department. She will assist senior management in the formulation of loan policy, strategic planning, budgeting, department structure, documentation and maintaining the integrity of the loan portfolio.

Beaudry holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Bay Path University. She is a youth soccer coach and has also been named a 40 Under 40 by BusinessWest.

WAYNE WEBSTER

Webster has 30 years of banking experience, including 23 years specializing in commercial lending, commercial real estate finance and credit risk management. He is skilled in building and managing high-performing loan portfolios, structuring complex financing solutions and driving sustained revenue growth across diverse market cycles.

In his role, Webster will develop, manage and deepen client relationships while supporting the bank’s strategic growth goals.

Webster holds a bachelor’s degree in English from University of Hartford. He serves on the Board for Bay Path University, Faith Tabernacle and Horace Smith Fund.

UMass Five expands Hampden County presence

UMassFive College Federal Credit Union (UMassFive) has opened its newest branch at 465 N. Main St. in East Longmeadow, expanding its local presence in the Pioneer Valley.

The location is UMassFive’s seventh branch and second in Hampden County, joining its existing location in the Mercy Rehabilitation Building in Springfield. While the new branch marks UMassFive’s continued growth in the region, its connection to Hampden County is well established: the credit union already serves more than 6,800 members who live in Hampden County, with more than $311 million in active loans helping local people and businesses achieve their financial goals.

UMassFive is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members. The credit union’s roots in higher education continue to shape how it approaches financial service and education today.

The East Longmeadow branch is led by Branch Manager Will Wilcox, who brings more than nine years of credit union experience to UMassFive, including experience in financial coaching and community outreach. He is joined by Lead Member Service Specialist Nia Recchia and Member Service Specialists Daniel “Danny” Albizu, Jessica Donais, and Jowayne Cargail. UMassFive Wealth Advisor Sam Einzig will also be available at the branch on Tuesdays to assist members with retirement planning and investment needs.

Community Foundation of Western MA names board members

SPRINGFIELD — The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts has three new members on its board of directors: attorney Seunghee Cha, a partner with the law firm Bulkley, Richardson and Gelinas LLP; George Timmons, president of Holyoke Community College; and Dr. Martin Wohl, retired dentist from Wohl Family Dentistry LLC.

The Foundation has also announced Charles D’Amour, executive chairman of Big Y Foods, as its new board chair, formerly vice chair of the Board, succeeding outgoing Chair Karin George. Nikki Burnett, executive director of Educare Springfield, is now vice chair.

SEUNGHEE CHA

At Bulkley, Richardson and Gelinas, Cha serves as chair of both the firm’s Trusts and Estates department and Special Needs Planning practice, working with individuals and couples in estate planning and representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in trust and estate administration.

GEORGE TIMMONS

Timmons is the fifth president of HCC. Prior to HCC, Timmons served as the provost and senior vice president for academic and student affairs at Columbia-Greene Community College in Hudson, New York, and as dean for the School of Liberal Arts at Excelsior College in Albany, New York.

DR. MARTIN WOHL

Prior to retirement in 2016, Wohl established what is now Wohl Family Dentistry LLC and before that directed the dental practices of the Hilltown Health Centers. Prior to settling in western Massachusetts, he was a federal dentist in a Maternal and Child Health Clinic in Washington, D.C., and subsequently dental director with the National Health Service Corps at Hope Medical Center in New Mexico. Wohl and his wife live in Northampton.
