CHESTERFIELD — Town officials are offering residents a chance to win gift cards as an incentive to complete the town’s master plan survey.

A public meeting on the ongoing master plan will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Town Hall, 403 Main Road. Once completed, the plan will serve as a blueprint for the town’s future over the next decade or so. The state requires communities to complete such plans, and Chesterfield has not compiled one since 1996.

Nearly 90 residents have completed the survey so far, but town officials hope to surpass 100 responses.

Residents who have completed the survey will be entered into a drawing for four $30 gift cards to Stop & Shop and Big Y during Thursday’s meeting.

The two-page survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and includes questions about ways to improve Chesterfield, the biggest threats to quality of life and where investment or growth should be encouraged.

Information gathered during a June meeting on the master plan will be used to guide Thursday’s discussion about the future of land use in town.
