Kuhn Riddle promotes Hutchison to associate

AMHERST — Kuhn Riddle Architects & Designers has promoted Brad Hutchison to associate, recognizing a career formed by interdisciplinary expertise, thoughtful practice and a commitment to the continued growth of the firm.
Hutchison has a diverse professional and educational background spanning more than 30 years in architecture, landscape architecture, construction, and music performance. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Massachusetts.
His particular interest in how buildings perform and serve their occupants has shaped his approach to design. While at UMass, he researched and developed tools to measure building performance related to occupant comfort and building health. He continues to bring this building-science perspective to the firm’s projects.
Hutchison is a leader of Kuhn Riddle’s multifamily Passive House practice. One of the firm’s first Certified Passive House Consultants, he currently serves as senior architect on four multifamily Passive House projects in various stages of design and construction.
TruNorth Bank promotes two to assistant VP
EASTHAMPTON — TruNorth Bank has promoted Brenna Breeding to assistant vice president, digital marketing, and Gerardo Sanchez to assistant vice president, digital banking product manager, recognizing their contributions to the bank’s continued growth and digital innovation.

Breeding, who is based at the bank’s 36 Main St. office in Easthampton, is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that support the bank’s brand, products and services across online channels. Breeding joined the bank in 2020 as digital marketing manager and most recently served as digital marketing officer.
Prior to joining TruNorth Bank, Breeding served as marketing communications associate at VentureWell. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management from the University of Delaware, earned a certificate in bank marketing from the American Bankers Association Bank Marketing School and holds the Certified Financial Marketing Professional designation.

Sanchez, who is based at the bank’s 241 Northampton St. office in Easthampton, brings 28 years of banking industry experience to his role. Since joining TruNorth Bank in 2021 as electronic banking systems manager, Sanchez has played an important role in the evolution of the bank’s digital banking offerings. After being promoted to digital banking product officer, he continued to lead initiatives designed to enhance digital banking products and services and improve the customer experience.
Before joining the bank, Sanchez served as financial center operations manager at Bank of America. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Bridgewater State University and an associate degree in business studies from Holyoke Community College. He also attended the Massachusetts Bankers Association’s New England School for Financial Studies.
Greenfield Savings names chief financial officer

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Savings Bank recently named Jermaine Crosson as its chief financial officer, and he brings more than 30 years of banking and financial leadership experience.
Most recently serving as chief financial officer of Linkbank, Crosson’s career has included leadership roles at Sunshine Bank, Members 1st Federal Credit Union and Graystone Bank, where he helped guide institutions through periods of growth and strategic change.
Crosson said Greenfield Savings Bank’s combination of community commitment and forward-looking vision made the opportunity especially appealing.
Crosson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University.
As CFO, Crosson will oversee the bank’s financial operations and support its long-term strategic growth.
Scully named director of community relations at UMass

AMHERST — Jon Scully, a nonprofit leader with more than a decade of experience in community development, fundraising, organizational leadership and partnership development, is the new director of community relations at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Scully will lead initiatives that strengthen connections between UMass Amherst and surrounding neighborhoods, civic organizations, municipal leaders and businesses. He will serve as the primary liaison to residents and local leaders, helping to address issues affecting the quality of life in communities surrounding campus.
In his new role, Scully also represents the university at town meetings and community forums and oversee outreach and engagement initiatives. He will provide leadership for the UMass Amherst Community Campaign and UMass Downtown, while working to expand partnerships and programs that connect the university with the Pioneer Valley.
Scully joins UMass Amherst from Cooley Dickinson Hospital, where, since 2022, he managed the Grateful Patient Program. Previously, he was a development officer at the hospital, leading patient and family engagement and fundraising initiatives, cultivating relationships with donors and community partners, and collaborating with senior administrators, clinicians and volunteers.
From 2019 to 2022, Scully served as development director for the Hampshire Regional YMCA, where he developed a multiyear fundraising plan. He also was the organization’s primary contact with community partners and leaders and led its philanthropy committee. Earlier in his career, Scully held several leadership positions with Special Olympics Massachusetts, including director of sports and fitness.
Scully has been a member of the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors since 2023 and serves on its executive committee. He also chairs the chamber’s A+ Awards Committee.
Scully holds a master’s degree in sport and recreation management from Springfield College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western New England University.
He succeeds Tony Maroulis, who was appointed executive director, economic development earlier this year.
