I just happened to stumble across an article on the web that said there is a food day for every day of the year. I wondered to myself, who figures that out? How do they keep that all straight? Is there an office where you can go and say I want today to be national chicken and gravy day? Do they look through the files and say sorry that day is taken? There are so many foods that apparently they have to double or triple up on some of those days.
And what are we supposed to do to celebrate these days? Because I havenโt noticed a lot of fanfare surrounding National Fig Newton Day.
I have copied just the January list to give you an idea of whatโs in store for us. Get your party hats on. Now we have a new excuse to celebrate every day.

I am shocked! I say shocked!
The only national food day I was aware of in January was the National Lose All That Holiday Fat day, which is actually the entire month!
I guess I can go have a pastrami sandwich now.
