SOUTH HADLEY — Incumbent Fire District 1 Prudential Committee member Gregory R. Sheehan was defeated by challenger Bruce Perron in last week’s election.
Perron beat Sheehan 286 to 120 for a three-year seat on the district’s governing body. A third candidate, Jeffrey Cyr, received one vote.
Meantime, incumbent moderator Mark Beauregard retained his position for a one-year term despite a challenge from Barbara Hatch by a vote of 318 to one.
And incumbent water commissioner William Schenker was elected to another three year term with 344 votes. Challengers Gregory Sheehan and Douglass Percy received one vote each.
