NORTHAMPTON — A 21-year-old Springfield man is expected to be charged in a Feb. 4 non-fatal shooting incident at Anthony’s club in South Hadley, according to the Northwestern district attorney’s office.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Omega Walker, 21, of Springfield, on charges of attempted murder, assault and battery with a firearm, felony use of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.

Walker is currently in custody in Hampden County on unrelated charges and an arraignment date has not yet been scheduled.

Mary Carey, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office, said that a single victim suffered non-fatal injuries in the incident, which took place inside Anthony’s club.

Carey said South Hadley Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Northwestern district attorney’s office are still investigating the incident, which occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 4 at Anthony’s. The club is located at 500 New Ludlow Road in South Hadley.

Walker is currently being held on unrelated charges of carrying a firearm without a license, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a Class D substance with the intent to distribute, possession of ammunition, and receiving stolen property valued greater than $250.

He was arrested on Feb. 9 by Springfield police officers conducting a narcotics raid on a Leslie Street residence, where police said a search warrant led to the seizure of crack cocaine and marijuana.
