■N. White respectfully informs his friends and the public that he has removed from Williamsburg to Northampton and has taken a room nearly opposite the Town Hall, where he will manufacture and sell double bass, bass, and tenor viols; also, violins of various qualities and prices.

■The fairgrounds are the scene of feverish activity today, with the last-minute rush to get everything in readiness for the opening tomorrow of the 106th annual Three County Fair. Tents rising on every hand, carpenters lustily swinging and pounding hammers, electricians installing lighting equipment on the Midway, tell the story of the preparation that is being made to make the fair a success.
■The cafeteria at the People’s Institute opened today for the winter season, under the direction of Miss E. M. Houghton, the new domestic science head of the Institute.
■A new edition of the biographical folder on Calvin Coolidge, compiled by Lawrence E. Wikander, has just been published by Forbes Library. The project was made possible by the generosity of Elwood Buhl Allen, a noted Coolidge collector and familiar figure around the library.
■Dr. James L. Benepe Jr., director of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Leeds, is being transferred to the VA Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming. Dr. Benepe will leave here Oct. 10. A new director will be named shortly, according to hospital officials.
