HADLEY — Resources and information for both older adults and their families to assist older adults to age safely and comfortably in the community will be provided during the Hadley Council on Aging’s annual health fair Wednesday morning.

The “Annual Health Fair: Aging in Place” takes place at the Hadley Senior Center, 46 Middle St., from 10 a.m. to noon.

The free event, open to those in the Hadley and Amherst area, is an opportunity to connect with local organizations, health care professionals and service providers specializing in senior care, home safety and wellness.

Chloe Hogan, a nursing student at the University of Massachusetts or helping to organize, said a number of information booths will be set up for the event, including representatives from Aegis Chiropractic & Physical Therapy, the Amherst Survival Center, Connect America Life Alert, Highland Valley ElderCare, Baku Care, the Fisher Home, OEI Caption Telephone. Central Hampshire Veterans’ Services and Valley Eye Radio.

“We would love to see family members, caregivers and residents themselves join us,” Hogan said.

There also will be expert talks on home modifications, fall prevention and caregiving support. Those with questions will be able to network with professionals.
