2024 Bay State Games: Hampshire County athletes set to compete in annual event

The Bay State Games are back this summer, as each of the eight sports kicks off at some point within the next two weeks. Baseball and softball start things off on Tuesday, boys and girls soccer begin Thursday, field hockey starts Friday, boys and girls volleyball on Saturday and girls basketball rounds things out on July 19.

A total of 45 Hampshire County athletes are littered across the eight sports, as each one earned a spot on their respective teams via tryout.

Here’s a look at the dates of each sport, the location and the local players who will be in action throughout.

Softball: July 9-11 at Willard Park in Devens

Baseball: July 9-11 in Malden
