Where to see fireworks next week

Looking for an option to see fireworks this July 4th season? Here are a few opens in the region. Fireworks at Look Park in Florence took place last Saturday.
Holyoke will host its annual 4th of July fireworks on Friday, June 28, with a rain date of Sunday. The event will take place on the grounds of Holyoke Community College, at 303 Homestead Ave.
Officials encourage participants to come early to enjoy the music and food from a variety of vendors as well as many children’s activities. The event begins at 6 p.m., with the fireworks display scheduled to start at dusk.
If you have any questions, call the mayor’s office at 413-561-1600. The event is hosted by the city, HCC and Holyoke Gas & Electric.
An annual fireworks display for Independence Day takes place Tuesday at McGuirk Alumni Stadium on the University of Massachusetts campus.
Festivities kick off at 6 p.m., with fireworks set off when it is dark. The event is free, though donations are accepted.
There will be lawn and pickup games for all ages, with spectators encouraged to bring a blanket and folding chairs for the live entertainment, which will include Masala Jazz, the Amherst Community Band and DJ Benny Black.
Food trucks, serving a variety of menu items as well as beverages and novelties, will include Baby Berk, Batch Ice Cream, Caravan Kitchen, Crazy Arepas, Crooked Stick Pops, Holyoke Hummus, Rock-n-Roll Food Truck and Thai Chili. Also expected to be set up will be Hillio’s Novelties, Magic Tree Henna and Infinity Lox Permanent Jewelry.

In case of rain, the event will be pushed back to July 8.
Fireworks in South Hadley will take place on Wednesday, July 3, with a rain date of July 5. The annual celebration is held at the Michael E. Smith Middle School, 100 Mosier St.
The event, which begins at 5 p.m. and ends with fireworks starting around 9:30 p.m., will feature rides, games, food and other activities on the school grounds.
People are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or chairs and plenty of bug spray.
Parking near the school is limited. There is some parking at the Mosier School, St. Theresa’s Church and the corner lot on Morgan Street at Route 116. Handicap parking will be available at the middle school. No parking allowed on Routes 116, 202 and 33, or on the following streets: Mosier, Morgan, Brainerd, Pine, Parkview, W. Parkview, Richview, and Belmont.
■ Chicopee Fireworks at Szot Park, Saturday, June 29, at 9:15-9:30 p.m. (rain date, Sunday). Gates open at 5:30.

■ South Deerfield, Wednesday, July 3, open field at Tree House Brewing, 1 Community Place. Fireworks at 9 p.m.
■ Star Spangled Springfield, Thursday, July 4, 6-10 p.m., Riverfront Park. The fireworks are displayed from the Memorial Bridge and can been seen for miles.
■ Greenfield, Saturday, July 6, 4-10:30 p.m., Beacon Field. Rain date is July 7.
