I am writing in response to the actions and plans of the Trump administration. Such actions impact our community and our nation in multiple ways.

If you know anyone who receives SNAP benefits, the plan is to cut food aid off to 40 million people. If you know anyone who receives Social Security retirement, disability or SSI, Elon Musk, the billionaire, is after your benefits. If you know anyone who receives Medicare, the plan is to allow drug companies to increase rather than further negotiate reductions in costs.

If you know anyone who farms, promised agriculture funding is slashed. If you know anyone who needs housing, housing assistance is being decimated. If you know anyone who is a college student, financial aid is on the chopping block.

The notion that slashing the federal workforce will help anyone is a fraud. Humans process applications for unemployment, workers’ compensation, SNAP, Social Security and more. Watch and learn. The billionaires will win. You will lose.
