The millions of people who participated in protests across the nation on April 5 showed that “We the People” have a powerful voice as we exercised our First Amendment right to peacefully assemble and petition the government. I encourage all of us to continue this in an ongoing basis. One next step will be to join the Hands Off Social Security Rally this Thursday, April 10 at noon. If you work nearby, come on your lunch break. Address is 1550 Main Street, Springfield. The mobilize link is below. This issue impacts or will impact all of us.

It is appalling that our government, along with non-governmental hack Elon Musk, want to rob us of money, our money that we have been putting into this fund with every paycheck since we started working. The Social Security fund is our money! An estimated 73.2 million people received benefits from the Social Security Administration — 97% of older adults either receive Social Security or will receive it. People who have worked all their lives to “make America great.” And yet, they want to rob hard working Americans of what we have earned. This is unacceptable. Musk claims he wants to modernize the system. What could go wrong? After all, look at how successful those Space X launchings have been. What are the chances the payment system could blow up during the so-called modernization? I encourage people of all ages to join us to help protect seniors and those with disabilities (https://tinyurl.com/3mfde9yj).
