I wish to thank columnist Sara Weinberger for recommending the Movement Voter Project to those of us who are frustrated, but wish to do something to defeat Donald Trump and his MAGA cohorts in November.

Given that the outcome for most states, such as Massachusetts or Idaho, are already pretty much predetermined, the MVP gives us a means to support like-minded people in the nine critical battleground states where both presidential and Senate candidates are in contention: Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio and North Carolina.

As well, the MVP has targeted the 40 most competitive seats in the House. Perhaps what is most impressive with their approach is support of grassroots organizations that are deeply embedded in the communities that, if mobilized, can make the difference. The MVP deploys a bottom-up approach, and by doing so attempts to connect what people really care about with candidates aligned with their interests.

After examining the MVP website, and studying all the ways they plan to defeat MAGA, I was very happy to donate to the work that they are doing and I urge others to follow Ms. Weinberger’s lead to do the same.
