Jennifer Dieringer: Laurie Loisel for Ward 3 City Councilor

I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Laurie Loisel in her recently announced candidacy for Ward 3 City Council. I had the pleasure of getting to know Laurie when we both served (she as president) on the board of the local nonprofit Council of Social Agencies, which serves as a resource and network for Hampshire County human service providers.

Laurie was a wonderful leader: She was inclusive of everyone’s opinion, she sought to understand issues, she was organized and hardworking. The meetings were highly collaborative and a pleasure to attend. These are the precise skills and attributes that I want my city councilor to have.

I know that Laurie will listen to all of her constituents, be thoughtful and painstaking in her decision-making, and work collaboratively and respectfully with her fellow city councilors, the mayor, and municipal staff. I am honored to be the chair of her campaign committee.

I could not be more delighted that she is running for this important seat, and I know so many of my Ward 3 neighbors (indeed so many neighbors citywide!) share my enthusiasm.
