Wednesday’s high school baseball: Mike Curran delivers walk-off two-run single to lift Hopkins over Greenfield

Mike Curran hit a two-run, walk-off single for the Hopkins Academy baseball team in a 11-10 win over Greenfield, Wednesday in Hadley.
Curran’s hit capped a five-run rally in the bottom of the seventh.
Jon Morrison went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a triple.
Noah Scanlon-Dean added a double with two RBIs for Hopkins Academy (8-10, 5-5 Hampshire West).
Justin Butterfield had an RBI single.
Agawam 3, Amherst Regional 2 — The Hurricanes (7-13, 5-7 Valley League) led 2-0 entering the bottom of the sixth, when back-to-back doubles and a single started a three-run winning rally for the Brownies (8-11, 2-10).
Nathan Masteralexis struck out four and allowed four hits in the loss. He helped himself going 2-for-2 with a run, RBI and walk.
Julian Burgoff added a hit and an RBI, while Jake Balderston walked and scored a run.

It was the final game for seniors Will Budington, Max Hopley, Seth Bella-Hunter, Alex Cantor, Dylan Donoghue, Trevor Edwards, Jonah Kane, Alex Walsh, Stephen McCudden, Burgoff, Balderston and Masteralexis.
Granby 10, Smith Vocational 1 — Joe Desormier went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple for the Rams (15-5) in a road win over the Vikings.
Tom Rezzani got the win on the mound, pitching into the sixth inning with eight strikeouts.
Ryan York (run) and Hunter Brooks each had two hits for Smith Voke (10-10).
Frontier Regional 5, Belchertown 0 — Dylan Apanelle pitched seven innings for the Red Hawks (11-5), giving up three hits with four strikeouts in the win.
Matt Hildreth had an RBI-sacrifice fly, a single and a stolen base. Connor Waitkus had a single, a stolen base and a run scored.
Tanner Clark had a couple hits for the Orioles (5-11).
It was the final game for Belchertown seniors Hayden Bennis, Clark, Scott Kopacz, Jackson Leduc and Cam Supple.
South Hadley 5, Turners Falls 0 — Chance Almonte had two hits and scored twice as three pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout of the Indians.
David Adams stuck out four in three innings to earn the win in relief for the Tigers (15-4, 9-1 Hampshire West).
Ludlow 3, Northampton 2 — For the second consecutive game, the Blue Devils had to watch an opponent win in the bottom of the seventh.
Beau Garbarini had an RBI triple and Aidan Chapdelaine added an RBI single for Northampton (13-6, 8-4 Valley Wheel).
