Three players from western Massachusetts hit home runs at Fenway Park playing for the home team. On Aug. 14, 2000, Rico Brogna from Turners Falls homered for the Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay. On April 13, 1990, Billy Jo Robidoux from Ware homered for the Red Sox vs. Milwaukee. Lastly, Springfield South End native (grew up playing baseball at Harrington’s Lot) Rabbit Maranville hit three home runs at Fenway Park playing for the Boston Braves (Braves Field was under construction) on Aug. 6, 1914 vs. Pittsburgh, Sept. 26, 1914 vs. the Cubs and on July 13, 1915 vs. Pittsburgh.
