Rich Cairn: Stretching out ‘dictator for a day’

Our new “dictator for a day” — stretching it to almost a month now — has already made less safe roads, airways, medicines, drinking water, schools, media and groceries, all while propelling eggs toward $12 a dozen.

He is fast opening the world to Chinese government investors. He sold out long-term allies in Syria and Ukraine, is shooting for ethnic cleansing in Palestine, and hopes to end NATO. He is on track to derail a decade of medical research and demolish what was long the world’s best weather forecast service. He is making serious progress on destroying the FBI, unions and the federal courts.

He pulled the rug out from under farmers and factories across rural America, and from under the crypto bought by his most loyal followers. Not to mention his assaults on LGBTQIA Americans, immigrants, and the planet’s atmosphere.

He does all this not by whim, but in service to one coherent policy goal: personal greed. We don’t need to reach 100 days to know that it’s time to stop the Musk-Trump-Vance kleptocracy.
