Not even rain could slow the Northampton baseball team Wednesday.

The Blue Devils won their sixth straight game, 3-0 over West Springfield, in rainy conditions on the road.

Hunter Salem struck out eight and only gave up one hit on 77 pitches.

Andrew Serio had an RBI ground out for Northampton (8-2, 4-1 Valley Wheel), while Hector DeJesus pulled off a suicide squeeze in the seventh.

East Longmeadow 7, Amherst 3 — Dylan Donoghue had two RBIs for the Hurricanes in a home loss.

Nathan Masteralexis had nine strikeouts for Amherst (2-6, 0-4 Valley League).

South Hadley 12, Easthampton 4 — Adam Pilachowski and Ted Doyle both had two RBIs in the Tigers’ home win over the Eagles.

Ryan Mooney picked up the with for South Hadley (9-1). He went four innings with three strikeouts and two earned runs.

Dawson Wolcott had three hits and an RBI for Easthampton (3-6).

Softball

Palmer 4, Pope Francis 2 — Alexa Keough struck out nine for the Cardinals in a road loss.

Christine Winberg and Jordy Mercier both had RBI singles for Pope Francis (4-5).

Smith Voke 15, Dean Tech 3 (3) — The Vikings won a shortened game when an opposing player became ineligible due to jewelry.

Sam Von Haugg had three RBIs while Amanda chipped in with three hits and two RBIs for Smith Voke (8-2, 7-1 Tri County).

Monson 18, Easthampton 0 — The Eagles (5-5) reached base once when Kadyrose Newman drew a walk against Monson’s starter Carly Zielinski, who threw a no-hitter.

Granby 16, Sabis 4 — The Rams won their fifth straight on the road.

Jordan Kennedy got things going for Granby in the first inning with a bases-clearing triple. Kennedy finished with six RBIs.

Abi Beauregard had two hits and two RBIs, while striking out six in the circle.

Boys lacrosse

Northampton 6, Agawam 4 — Matt Huggett scored four goals, while Henry Attias (assist) and Evan Moulton (three assists) each had one as the Blue Devils (6-3, 3-1 Valley League) won at home.

Jameson Miller had one assist and Bryce Wall made 11 saves in the win.

Northampton trailed 1-0 after the first quarter, but led 2-1 at the half and 4-3 entering the fourth.

Girls lacrosse

Belchertown 19, St. Mary 2 — The Orioles won big on the road.

Emma Jopson led the way for Belchertown (4-6) with six goals and an assist. Abby Robinson netted four goals for the Orioles, while Kate Bowers scored twice with seven assists.

Kailey Pacheco made two saves in net.

South Hadley 21, Monson 7 — Marley Medina had an impressive game in the Tigers’ home win, scoring 10 goals with two assists.

Sarah Lacey, Briana Couture and Kera Murphy each had two goals for the South Hadley (3-6).

Hanna Kopec made 12 saves.

Boys Volleyball

Athol 3, Belchertown 1 — Anthony Hosmer had 21 kills and Drew Duquette had 22 assists, but the Orioles lost 25-18, 25-21, 17-25 and 25-14 at home.
